Artist's Description

Light through the clouds at low tide just below the dunes at Tadoussac, Quebec. The sun heats the exposed sand. In turn, as the tide rises, the sand heats the shallow water making it pleasantly warm for a short while. The upwelling of very cold bottom waters attract many whales to this area.
